We teach how to deal with social websites such as Facebook & Twitter. Individual sites will be shown to demonstrate that nothing is private. We emphasize the ramifications of texts and posts both from the media and public perspective. Actual clips will be shown from You Tube and the internet of players dating back to high school playing days to demonstrate things said and done off the field can be recorded by anyone with a picture phone or camera and kept forever. We also discuss the differences between new and traditional media--how blogs, websites, newspaper and broadcast stories are put together and how quotes are used.
We provide instruction on how to handle interviews with traditional media, such as keeping answers brief but memorable; avoiding cliches and providing expert speech help to maintain confidence in public speaking situations. Actual scenarios will be staged to simulate everything from a one-on-one interview to a post game news conference.
Our Specialty: We bring our expertise to help teams deal with broadcasting and webcasting, how to address reporters in a variety of settings, including a local or national talk show. Participants will serve as interviewers, guests and fans calling in with their questions and opinions, in a realistic setting.
Our Goal: We will provide a thorough understanding of 21st century communications, what it's REALLY like out there today and how everyone can be better prepared in this ever-changing environment.
